In the Wake of Eric the Red- Iceland to Greenland

In the Wake of Eric the Red- Iceland to Greenland

The same route was taken by Norse colonists over 1,000 years ago. This cruise visits several famous Greenlandic destinations, such as Skjoldungen Island, Prince Christians Sound in Nuuk, Disko Bay and Sermermiut Plain. It is an opportunity of a lifetime to explore the history and beauty of Greenland.

Day by day

Day 1 : Reykjavik

Hallgrimskirkja Church dominates Reykjavik. The rock columns of this hip Scandinavian town are well-known. Reykjavik is Scandinavia's most friendly and exciting city, thanks to its Nordic cuisines and shopping opportunities, as well as exciting excursions and a relaxed atmosphere. Reykjavik is located right in the heart of the North Atlantic Ocean and makes a perfect place to start your Arctic adventure.

Our expedition ship is waiting to welcome you in the busy city port. After the safety drill, enjoy dinner and a champagne glass after. Then we will follow the ancient Norse route, which dates back 1,000 years.

Day 2 : Crossing the Denmark Strait

As the Norsemen, we will cross Denmark Strait from Iceland to Greenland. You will not get bored at sea. Onboard, our guests can enjoy an array of activities to engage the mind, body and soul. Join your Expedition Team Lecturer for a specially crafted talk in the Theater on topics such as local history, culture, wildlife, geology and more. You can also relax at the Polar Spa with a massage.
