North Atlantic Expedition

North Atlantic Expedition

The early summer expedition cruise will take you to Iceland, Jan Mayen and Spitsbergen. Glaciers, fjords and other wildlife, such as walruses and polar bears will be visible. It is an opportunity of a lifetime to see the Arctic's beauty and wildness.

Day by day

Day 1 : Reykjavik

Hallgrimskirkja Church dominates Reykjavik. The hip Scandinavian destination is well known. Reykjavik is one of Scandinavia’s most welcoming and exciting cities, thanks to its relaxed atmosphere, new Nordic shopping and dining options and the fantastic excursions. Visit the quirky (and world-class) museums, shop for knitwear or simply enjoy this bustling city on a café terrace.

Staterooms are waiting for our passengers on board the comfortable cruise ship. We will leave Reykjavik after the mandatory lifeboat drills, safety briefings, and other required procedures.

Day 2 : At sea, en route to Siglufjörður

From Iceland's bustling capital, we will sail north to the picturesque town of Siglufjordur.

Iceland's water is among the richest on earth. Warm Gulf Stream Currents and cold East Greenland Currents create waters rich in oxygen and nutrients. The waters of the Gulf Stream are rich with oxygen and nutrient, which feeds a wide variety of species. As we cruise around Westfjords - the rugged peninsula in Iceland's northwest corner - you can join your expedition team on deck. Seek out the wildlife that is unique to this landscape. As fulmars and seabirds swoop by, puffins dive deep into the frigid depths in search of food. You may see whales grazing on herring in the area. On board, our experienced guides will share stories about Iceland's culture, folklore, and marine eco-systems.

You can get to know the vessel better by spending a day at sea. Relax with a coffee in the Observation Lounge, listen to a lecture about the region, or enjoy a special cocktail with your friends.
